- Suspected prostate cancer: Elevated or rising PSA, abnormal digital rectal examination or concerning imaging findings.
- Persistent prostate symptoms: Urinary changes, pelvic discomfort or other symptoms requiring further investigation.
- Uncertain malignancy risk: Supporting clinical assessment when standard investigations provide inconclusive results.
- Previous benign findings with ongoing concern: Continued symptoms or changing clinical markers despite earlier reassurance.
- Increased prostate cancer risk: Family history, advancing age or other recognised risk factors prompting further evaluation.
Overview
Trublood® - Prostate analyses circulating tumour cells and tumour-associated nucleic acids present in peripheral blood. These biomarkers may reflect tumour activity and molecular characteristics relevant to diagnostic evaluation.
The test may help clarify malignancy risk in individuals with suspicious clinical findings, particularly where tissue biopsy is inconclusive or not feasible. Blood-based tumour biomarker analysis can provide additional information to support diagnostic pathways.
Results are interpreted alongside PSA trends, imaging findings, clinical history and urological assessment. Integrating these findings may support more informed decisions regarding further investigation or treatment planning.

Patient preparation
The patient must not have received any form of cancer therapy (radiation / chemo-therapy / surgery / endocrine therapy etc.) at least 15 days prior to collection of sample.
The patient must not have received oral or IV corticosteroids at least 15 days prior to collection of sample.
Patient has no current febrile or any other acute inflammatory illness.
Patient does not have acute exacerbation or flare-up of an inflammatory condition requiring escalation in medical therapy at least 5 days prior to collection of sample.
Patient has not received blood transfusion / PET-CT / CT scan at least 5 days prior to collection of sample.
Patient is not positive for HIV / HBV / HCV.
